To get those snoozy, curly poses at a newborn shoot, your baby ideally needs to be under 14 days (although I am happy to book newborns right up to one month old) But what about if your baby is older? Don’t worry, you’ve not missed out!

Generally parents book a newborn shoot with Tiny Baby Studio before baby arrives and this guarantees a session while baby is under 2 weeks. If parents get in touch a day or two after baby has arrived I can do by best to fit baby in but I am happy to photograph babies at every stage!

As your baby grows out of the newborn stage you will notice baby isn’t sleeping as much and is a lot more active. Your baby starts to notice and react to it’s surroundings and none more so than Mummy or Daddy’s smiling face! You will also notice your baby is a lot stronger and has filled out a lot and become less likely to curl up. All these thing generally prevent me from posing a baby in certain positions but it opens up the opportunity for beautiful awake shots and smiles!

I can still use my beautiful props to wrap and lie baby on and keep that ‘tiny baby’ look. I also have some lovely outfits in co-ordinating colours we can use to create lovely sets and with older newborns I am wanting to capture those gorgeous eyes and cute grins!
